Texan garden and greenhouse owners will soon be able to pick up some useful tips on organic growing, it has been revealed.
According to Woodlands Online, the Spring Home & Garden Show is set to host a number of horticultural experts.
Taking place at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre on March 27th and 28th, the event will give growers a chance to pick up advice on a range of topics, including growing trees, herbs and other plants.
Speaker Jason McKenzie told the website that much of his focus this year will be on going back to basics, creating a garden that is “less complex and more bountiful” than the ones that have become popular over the past decade.
He explained that gardens can still look good when planted with fruit trees and other food producing varieties.
“I try to mix up my garden with perennials and Texas natives,” Mr McKenzie told the website.
“If you bring in those types of plants, they‘re going to attract pollinators which will pollinate your fruit trees.”
Meanwhile, the Huffington Post has claimed that organic gardening is the way forward and that chemical fertilisers are well and truly out of fashion.
