Gurney‘s Seed & Nursery Company has launched its own channel on the media sharing site and also hopes to provide garden and greenhouse enthusiasts with a more attractive service through other electronic means.
The 143-year-old company has also set up a corporate blog with contributions from one of its chief horticultural experts.
As well as how-to advice, the YouTube channel will feature videos with information on specific plant types.
Viewers will also be able to access breaking news in the world of horticultural development and gardening techniques, with videos being regularly added to the stream.
“We‘re excited about the new initiatives, because they allow us to go beyond normal methods of communication and into a world of direct feedback – a true dialogue with our customers,” explained Gurney‘s director of creative services Scott Atkinson.
Meanwhile, Americans will today (November 26th) celebrate Thanksgiving – a feast that was started after native Americans taught the pilgrims organic gardening techniques to help them survive the harsh winter.
