Dealing with poison ivy

Garden and greenhouse enthusiasts who have experienced the problems with poison ivy will know how infuriating it can be.

It explained that the most important thing is identifying the plant and there are ample resources for doing this available online.

Having a picture available to compare plants to can be useful and allows growers to remove any poison ivy without damaging other species.

The problem plant can appear in any area that is overgrown, such as behind shrubs and fences.

Quickly washing any excess oil off on skin that has come into contact with poison ivy should help to avoid any nasty rashes, while wearing gloves and long sleeves and trouser legs will help reduce the risk of contact in the first place.
