Garden and greenhouse enthusiasts across the US will be able to get a number of quick tips from TV throughout the year.
It has been revealed that a total of 48 network television stations will broadcast Melinda‘s Garden moments during 2010.
Presented by horticulture expert Melinda Myers, the one-minute gardening features will be slotted in on local newscasts, giving those with green fingers advice on a number of topics.
A total of 34 quick hints will be broadcast on a weekly basis throughout the spring and summer growing season, with Ms Myers focusing on food cultivation – a popular theme as the country looks to recover from the financial downturn of the past few years.
As well as helping to create beautiful garden environments, the expert will teach Americans how to save money through clever horticulture techniques.
She will also give advice on how to make the most of small areas, growing butterfly-friendly gardens and using containers to save space.
Meanwhile, the Olympian has revealed that the Puyallup Spring Fair will be a useful venue to pick up horticulture advice, thanks to its 16,000 sq ft Garden Show.
