Garden and greenhouse enthusiasts in Texas will soon be able to pick up some tips from the Houston County Extension Office and Houston County Master Gardeners.
The organizations are once more combining to host the annual Garden Academy in early 2010, according to the Sun News.
Beginning January 19th, the programme will take place every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 18:30 local time until 20:30.
It will last until March 4th and is aimed at educating growers on how to get the best from their garden and greenhouse.
Costing $120, the course should offer something for everyone, from beginner to expert.
“We cover the basics and then go on from there,” horticulture programme assistant Teddie Berry told the news provider.
“It is really about how to make a plan for your home and address individual things in your own yard.”
He explained that gardeners often make the mistake of impulse buying at nurseries, with no plan of how the plant will work in their green space.
Meanwhile, first lady Michelle Obama is set to appear on popular kids‘ TV show Sesame Street today (November 11th), giving vegetable growing tips to children across the US.
