Pennsylvania garden and greenhouse enthusiasts have a number of opportunities go pick up growing tips over the next week or so.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer‘s calendar of horticultural events, things kick off tomorrow (August 29th) with a sale of native perennials and woody plats at Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust.
The event takes place at the Edge Hill Road site in Huntingdon Valley from 10:00 local time.
Master gardener Pam Herschfeld will also be distributing growing tips at the Southern Bucks Garden Club meeting taking place at the Silver Lake nature Centre in Bristol on September 1st.
The Bath Road event begins at 19:00 and will be subject to a $2 cover charge.
Later in the month, a Dividing Perennials workshop will allow greenhouse enthusiasts to get hands-on experience working with master gardeners Gail Hermenau and Nancy Bell.
Taking place on September 12th at New Castle County Extension Office, the class will require pre-registration and a $5 entry fee.
Meanwhile, the Bayshore Courier recently advised horticulture fans it is not too late to plant fall vegetables.
