Garden and greenhouse growers in Muscatine, Iowa, might be interested in attending a horticultural event due to take place this weekend.
Saturday (January 23rd) will see Muscatine Branching Out – a group dedicated to raising cash to plant trees – host a free Tree Care Workshop, according to the Muscatine Journal.
Beginning at 09:45 local time, the event will take place at the Stanley Auditorium on Iowa Avenue.
It will feature Iowa Department of Natural Resources district forester Mark Vitosch, who will discuss the emerald ash borer beetle and its impact on firewood, as well as a range of other topics.
Muscatine Branching Out chair Kathy Chalupa explained that the organisation is primarily focused on being a tree-planting group.
“Through our help, the city has continued to receive the status of Tree City USA from the National Arbor Day Foundation,” she added.
Meanwhile, the Pocono Garden Club is to meet at midday on February 9th in Tannersville, Pennsylvania, to celebrate its anniversary luncheon, according to tradingmarkets.com.
